The third quarter of 2024 showcased interesting trends for the top Books and Reference apps on the Android platform in Australia. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varying patterns in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Audible: Audio Entertainment saw a consistent increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $77.9K in mid-August. Downloads reached a high of approximately 4.8K in mid-July, while active users experienced a gradual decline from 167K to about 151K throughout the quarter.

Amazon Kindle showed modest revenue figures, with a peak of $50 in the week of August 19. The app's weekly downloads started at over 3.1K in early July and decreased to just over 2.3K by the end of September. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, hovering around 40K.

Libby, the Library App maintained a steady download rate, with numbers generally around the 2.4K mark. Active users were consistent, staying close to 23K throughout the quarter.

The YouVersion Bible App + Audio recorded weekly downloads in the range of 1.3K to 1.6K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Active users grew steadily, from approximately 53K in early July to over 55K by the end of September.

Finally, BorrowBox Library downloads fluctuated, starting at around 1.4K in July and dropping to just under 1K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained stable, averaging around 10K.
